Introduction

This tool is used to convert hangingwall/footwall polylines into composite drillholes. (complex coal) A temporary file 9 is generated each run. Every drillhole interval will be assigned the following values: - Seam Dip: calculated from the start/end coordinates of the corresponding polyline segment. - Seam Code: obtained by looking up the model code associated with the MSR material.

Before running the tool, the user can thin or re-densify the polylines in order to create the desired number of intervals.

The resulting drillhole file can be used to interpolate the seam dip into a 3D block model. This information can help you predict the different equipment requirements (eg. dozer vs. backhoe vs. shovel).
